Bacon peppers from the oven

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 bell peppers
  • 100 g feta cheese
  • 250 g bacon, diced
  • ½ onion(s)
  • oregano
  • 4 basil leaves

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut off the top, or stem, of the peppers. Rinse the peppers with cold water and remove the seeds. Dice the onion. Stuff the peppers with bacon cubes and crumble the feta and onion over the top. Season with oregano and place a basil leaf on each pepper. Carefully place all the peppers in a casserole dish or a Dutch oven. Bake at 200°C (400°F) for about 15-20 minutes. Serve with rice and a paprika sauce.
