Baden caramelized apple pancake with vanilla ice cream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ½ liter of milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 apples, sour
  • Butter, liquid
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet of powdered sugar
  • 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Mix milk, eggs, flour, and salt into a smooth batter and let stand for 1 hour. Peel and quarter the apples, remove the cores, and cut into wedges. Heat plenty of butter in a pan. Place the apple slices in rounds in the pan and fry. Pour a ladle of batter over the apples until they are covered. Cook the pancake, turn it over, and fry on the other side. Put 2 tablespoons of sugar on the pancake. Add a little butter and turn it over again. Keep the pancake moving until the sugar is caramelized. Turn it over and place it on a plate. Dust with powdered sugar. Place the vanilla ice cream in the middle of the pancakes and serve.
