Baked appetizer with mozzarella

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 slices of white bread
  • 100 g butter
  • 2 balls of mozzarella
  • 40 g capers
  • 4 anchovy fillets
  • 4 tbsp sweet cream
  • Parsley
  • Butter for the molds

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Slice the white bread and toast slightly if desired. Place in buttered baking dishes, add a slice of mozzarella, and cover with another slice of bread, then top with the mozzarella. Bake in the oven at 150°C (top/bottom heat). Meanwhile, crush the capers and finely chop the anchovy fillets. Bring everything to a boil with the butter and cream. Finally, add the parsley and pour over the bread. Serve immediately. I made this with a little less butter and also used the liquid from the capers.
