Baked Apple …

The perfect baked apple … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 Apple fresh
  • 35 g Pre-Cooked chestnuts
  • 30 Milliliters Milk
  • 2 Walnuts fresh
  • 2 Centiliters Nut liqueur
  • 1 tablespoon Honey liquid
  • Some butter
  • 1 tablespoon Calvados
  • 250 Milliliters Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 0,5 packet Vanilla sauce powder
  • 4 Centiliters Advocaat
  • Cocoa powder
  • Powdered sugar
  1. Wash and dry apples. Generously cut out the core with an apple cutter.
  2. Bring the chestnuts to the boil briefly in the milk and simmer gently for 5 minutes. Drain and drain.
  3. Crack walnuts. Roughly chop the nut kernels. Toast in a pan without fat. Add the liqueur and honey. Let it boil down slightly. Take off the stove. Mash the chestnuts with a fork and stir into the nut mixture.
  4. Fill the apple with the mixture. Place in a greased ovenproof dish. Put a few flakes of butter on top. Pour the calvados over them. Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for about 30 minutes.
  5. Take away some of the milk. Stir in the sauce powder. Bring the rest of the milk to the boil with the sugar. Add the mixed sauce powder to the milk. Bring to the boil briefly while stirring and remove from heat. Let cool down.
  6. Mix the egg liqueur with the same amount of vanilla sauce. Put on a dessert plate. Dust the edge of the plate with cocoa powder. Place the baked apple in the center of the sauce. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  7. P.S. Suitable for the weather … it just started to snow for me … Have a nice weekend!
