Baked Apple in Glass

The perfect baked apple in glass recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 5 Pc. Fresh apples Boskoop
  • 0,5 Pc. Squeezed lemons
  • 6 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp Calvados
  • 100 g Walnuts
  • 150 g Flour
  • 100 g Butter
  • 50 g Sugar
  1. Peel and core the apples and cut into small pieces. Mix this with lemon juice, 2 tbsp maple syrup and possibly the calvados. Roughly chop the walnuts and place in a pan. Add the rest of the maple syrup and let it caramelize. Add the walnuts to the apples, mix in and let everything steep. Knead a shortcrust pastry from flour, butter and sugar. Wrap this in cling film and put in a cool place for at least an hour. Divide the apples in ovenproof glasses and crumble the shortcrust pastry on top. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake the baked apples for about 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
