Baked apple in orange sauce and without raisins

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 apple
  • 1 orange(s) (it’s also delicious with blood orange!)
  • 1 tsp honey (more if you like)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon sugar
  • 2 tsp brittle (hazelnut brittle)
  • 50 g hazelnuts, grated
  • 50 g almond(s), grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Wash the apple and core it with an apple corer. Mix the hazelnuts, almonds, brittle, honey, and cinnamon-sugar well. Squeeze the orange and add enough juice to the mixture until it is moistened. Set the rest aside. Place the apple in a small casserole dish or small ovenproof bowl. Fill it with enough filling to leave some overhang. Pour in the remaining orange juice and place the apple in the oven for about 30 minutes, until the skin has burst open on one side. Serve with vanilla ice cream and/or whipped cream.
