Baked apple in pudding

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • n. B. Apples, small
  • 2 packets of vanilla pudding powder
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon for sprinkling
  • 2 tbsp sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Core a few apples (as many as will fit in the casserole dish) and peel them if desired. Layer the apples in the casserole dish one at a time until no more will fit. Prepare the vanilla pudding powder according to the package instructions with the sugar and milk. While the pudding is still hot, immediately pour it into the casserole dish with the apples. Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) top/bottom heat for 30 minutes. Mix the sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar over the apples. Bake for another 10-15 minutes. Let cool slightly and enjoy warm.
