Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 900 g apples
  • 1 pack of gelling sugar (1:1)
  • 100 g raisins
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder
  • 5 g marzipan paste, possibly more, up to 15 g

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours 39 minutes

delicious Christmassy

Dice the apples very finely, or better yet, grate them on a coarse grater. Mix with the gelling sugar and let stand for 3-4 hours. Add the raisins and cinnamon and bring to a boil. Boil briskly for 4 minutes over high heat. Don’t forget to stir! Cut the marzipan into small cubes and add them shortly before the end of the cooking time. Pour directly into twist-off jars and turn upside down to create a vacuum. The amount of marzipan can also be adjusted to taste.
