'Baked apple sauce' Monchi girl style

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 2 kg apples
  • 1 bag of sweets (marzipan potatoes)
  • 1 small jar of water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

The apples are quartered, peeled, and cored. The quarters are then further chopped as desired (I cut them into thin slices). Place them in a saucepan with a little water (not too much—a small glass is enough). Then chop the marzipan potatoes and scatter them between the apple slices. Bring the mixture to a boil and then simmer over low heat until the desired consistency is reached. This may take some time. No further seasoning is necessary because of the marzipan potatoes. Ideal as a dessert with ice cream or strudel. Note: For this recipe, I used about 8 large apples and a 125g bag of marzipan potatoes.
