Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pears, peeled, quartered
  • ½ stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 10 cloves
  • 4 cardamom pods, opened
  • 4 pieces of candied ginger, approx. 20 g, chopped
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 300 ml red wine

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Gently heat the wine and spices; do not boil! Meanwhile, prepare the pears. Let them steep in the liquid for about 20 minutes. They will stay nice and firm. Serve as a dessert with pudding, quark cream, or light or dark mousse. As a side dish with game.
