Baked apples, Palatinate style

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 apples, e.g. Boskop
  • 4 tbsp jelly, currant
  • 2 tbsp raisins
  • 2 tbsp almond slivers
  • ¼ liter white wine
  • 4 tsp butter
  • 4 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Core the unpeeled apples. Mix the redcurrant jelly with the raisins and almond slivers and fill the apples. Pour the wine into a buttered casserole dish, place the apples in it, and roast in a preheated oven at 170°C for about 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and place 1 teaspoon of butter on each apple, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, and serve hot.
