Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 apples, large, sour
  • 250 g minced meat
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • Salt
  • marjoram
  • 1 dl white wine (or bouillon)
  • 2 tbsp sweet cream
  • Sultana’s
  • Butter, in flakes

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Remove the stems and stalks from the apples and carefully hollow them out. (You can peel them, but they will fall apart easily when roasted.) Finely chop the onion and fry in hot butter. Add the meat and sauté lightly. Season with salt and marjoram, pour in a little white wine or stock, and thicken with a little cream. Add a few sultanas and bring to a boil briefly. Spoon the stuffing into the apples, place them in a buttered gratin dish, and dot with butter. Roast in a well-preheated oven for 20-30 minutes. Garnish with a cranberry jam crown before serving.
