Baked applesauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g applesauce
  • 6 tbsp brown sugar
  • 6 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 40 g butter
  • 2 apples
  • some butter for the mold
  • possibly cream if required

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Grease an ovenproof dish with butter and pour in the applesauce. Mix the brown sugar with the breadcrumbs and pour over the applesauce. Place knobs of butter on the crust. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, wash the two apples, cut them into wedges, and place them on the applesauce. Bake for another 10 minutes. Serve warm (with whipped cream, if desired).
