Baked banana with rum

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 bananas
  • 1 orange(s), untreated, juice and peel
  • 30 ml brown rum
  • 50 g cane sugar
  • 0.33 tsp fresh ginger, finely grated
  • some vanilla and/or cinnamon
  • 40 g butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Preheat oven to 180°C. Peel and slice the bananas. Arrange them in 4 ovenproof dishes. Sprinkle with spices, sugar, and orange zest. Pour over the orange juice and rum. Spread the butter on top. Cover the dishes with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Let cool. Serve garnished with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
