Baked beetroot with herbs

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 450 g beetroot, small, brushed
  • 10 cloves garlic, unpeeled, crushed
  • 1 handful of marjoram or oregano, leaves plucked
  • Salt and pepper, black, freshly ground
  • 10 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 6 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Preheat oven to 200°C. Fold a 1.5m piece of aluminum foil horizontally in half. Place the beets, garlic, and herb leaves in the center of the foil, season generously with salt and pepper. Fold the foil edges upward, then drizzle the vinegar and oil over the beets. Carefully seal the foil. Bake the package on a baking sheet in the oven for about 1 hour. Serve in the foil.
