Baked cauliflower

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg cauliflower
  • 2 large beefsteak tomatoes
  • 8 slice(s) cheese, Gouda
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp oregano
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Put 1/2 cup water in a pot with a little salt and add the cauliflower. With the lid closed, simmer the cabbage over low heat until al dente, drain, and divide into florets. Grease a casserole dish with 2 tablespoons of oil and add the florets. Finely dice the onions and fry in 3 tablespoons of oil until golden brown. Dice the tomatoes and add to the onions. Season with salt, pepper, and oregano. Simmer gently (2 minutes) and pour over the florets. Arrange the Gouda slices on top. Bake in the oven at 200°C for 20 minutes.
