Baked Cauliflower with Nuremberg Sausages and Mashed Potatoes
The perfect baked cauliflower with nuremberg sausages and mashed potatoes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Fried cauliflower:
- 500 g Cauliflower florets
- 1 liter Water
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Beef broth instant
- 1 Dampfkocheinsatz
- 150 g 1 Beutel Tempura Mehl
- 210 ml Water
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Mild curry powder
- 1 Wok + Wok Ablaufgitter
- 250 ml Peanut oil
- 4 big pinches Coarse sea salt from the mill
Nuremberg grilled sausages: (For 2 people!)
- 200 g Nuremberg grilled sausages (9-10 pieces)
- 2 tbsp Sunflower oil
Mashed potatoes:
- 500 g Potatoes
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Ground turmeric
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 4 tbsp Cooking cream
- 3 big pinches Coarse sea salt from the mill
- 3 big pinches Colorful pepper from the mill
- 1 big pinch Freshly ground nutmeg
Serve:
- Vine tomato halves for garnish
- Medium hot mustard
Fried cauliflower:
- Clean the cauliflower, cut into florets and place in a steamer insert. Season the water for the steamer insert with 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon beef broth instant. Steam the cauliflower for about 10 – 12 minutes, remove it and drain it in a sieve. Mix tempura flour (150 g) with water (210 ml). Add salt (1 teaspoon) and mild curry powder (1 teaspoon) / stir in. Heat the peanut oil (250 ml) in the wok, pull the cauliflower florets through the tempura batter in portions, deep-fry them in the hot peanut oil and place them on the wok drainage grid. Continue until all of the cauliflower florets are fried. Place the fried cauliflower florets on an ovenproof dish, season with coarse sea salt from the mill (4 big pinches) and keep warm in the oven at 50 ° C until serving.
Nuremberg grilled sausages:
- Fry the Nuremberg sausages (for 2 people / 9-10 pieces) in a pan with sunflower oil (2 tablespoons) on all sides until they are golden-brown.
Mashed potatoes:
- Peel, wash and dice the potatoes. Peel onion and chop finely. Boil the potato cubes with the onion cubes in salted water (1 teaspoon salt) ground with turmeric (1 teaspoon) for about 20 minutes, drain through a kitchen sieve and return to the hot saucepan. Add butter (1 tbsp), cooking cream (4 tbsp), coarse sea salt from the mill (3 big pinches), colored pepper from the mill (3 big pinches) and freshly ground nutmeg (1 big pinch) and work through well with the potato masher / stamp through.
Serve:
- Serve fried cauliflower with Nuremberg sausages and mashed potatoes, each garnished with half a vine tomato. Serve with medium-hot mustard.
