Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 3 chicory
- 6 slices of cooked ham
- 2 tomatoes
- 100 ml cream
- 1 shot of milk
- 100 g cheese
- nutmeg
- Salt
- Pepper, white
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Halve the chicory and remove the stalk. Wrap each half with a slice of ham and place in a baking dish. Quarter the tomatoes and arrange them between them. Mix the cream with a pinch of nutmeg, salt, and white pepper. Pour the sauce over the chicory. It should come to at least 1 cm high in the dish. Thin with a little milk if necessary. Grate the cheese and spread it over the chicory. I like a strong mountain cheese, but that’s a matter of taste. Place in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius (fan/convection oven) on the middle shelf without preheating. Bake for 25 minutes, then turn off and use the residual heat for another 5 minutes. This goes perfectly with floury boiled potatoes, which you can squash onto the plate with the sauce.
