Figs and goat’s cheese, a perfect starter
Wash and dry the figs, and remove the stems. Cut a cross into the figs to resemble open blossoms, but leave the stems still connected at the base. Place them vertically in a buttered baking dish and sprinkle each with 5g of brown sugar. Distribute the walnut halves and butter flakes in the dish. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake the figs in an oven preheated to 180°C for 20-25 minutes. Meanwhile, divide the goat cheese into 16 equal portions. Remove the aluminum foil from the dish, place the goat cheese portions individually into the center of each fig, and broil for 3-4 minutes. Arrange the figs in portions on plates, garnish with the walnut halves, and drizzle with the resulting syrup from the dish. Serve immediately.
