Ingredients

  • 250 g Mascarpone
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted pistachios, peeled
  • 4 tbsp Honey
  • 2 Oranges
  • 100 g Dark chocolate
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 4 Brioche
  • 12 Figs ripe
  • 2 tbsp Powdered sugar
  • 6 balls Ice cream

Instructions

  • First preheat the oven to 180 ° C. Put the mascarpone in a bowl, chop half of the pistachios and mix into the mascarpone with half of the honey, half of the orange peel and all of the orange juice. Break the chocolate into small pieces and mix in as well.
  • Now spread the butter on a ceramic dish. Cut the brioches into four or five slices each and use them to lay out the prepared pan. With a sharp knife, cut into the figs horizontally in the upper third, but not completely, so that the upper part remains connected to the lower part. Then use your finger or a spoon to create some space in each fruit for the mascarpone cream, and then use a small spoon to pile it into the fruit so generously that the lids no longer close completely. Set the rest of the cream aside for now.
  • Place the figs evenly on and between the slices of brioch rolls and drizzle with the remaining honey. Then sprinkle the whole pistachios and the rest of the orange peel on top. Spread the remaining mascarpone cream between the rolls and finally dust the whole thing with the icing sugar. Bake in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes, until the bread is golden brown and crispy and the figs look really sticky. Serve the whole thing with some ice cream.
