Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 m.-large tomato(s)
  • 150 g herb cream cheese
  • 200 g ham or salami
  • 200 g Gouda, sliced
  • 1 baguette(s)
  • e.g. salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

This recipe serves approximately 4-6 people. Preheat the oven to 170°C (top/bottom heat). Wash the tomatoes and slice them thinly. Season with salt and pepper if desired. Cut the baguette in half horizontally. Spread the baguette halves with cream cheese and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Top with tomato slices, ham, and Gouda cheese. Place the oven rack in the upper third of the oven and bake the baguette halves in the preheated oven for about 3-4 minutes, until the cheese melts slightly. Stack the baked halves on top of each other and serve warm. Lettuce leaves also work well between the halves.
