Hot dog baked in pizza dough
Mix the flour with the water, yeast, and salt to form a smooth dough. Add flour or water as needed. Cover the dough and let it rest at room temperature for 1 hour. When it has increased in size, preheat the oven to 200°C fan/convection oven. Dust a work surface with flour. Shape the dough into 8 equal-sized balls and roll them out so that the long side is about 5 cm longer than the sausages. Divide the cheese slices so that they cover the entire length of the dough pieces. Place the sausages on top and then add a heaped tablespoon of fried onions to each side of the sausages. Fold the two long sides towards the middle and seal the ends. Place the hot dogs seam-down on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes at 200°C. Serve with ketchup or Danish remoulade and mustard, if desired.
