Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g apples
  • 2 cl Calvados, (alternatively apple juice if children are eating)
  • 250 g mascarpone
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 pinch(s) ground cinnamon
  • 50 g almond(s), chopped
  • Fat, for the shape

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Sweet casserole

Wash, quarter, peel, and core the apples. Cut the quarters into thin slices. Grease a baking dish and arrange the apple slices in a flake-like pattern. Drizzle with Calvados (or apple juice) and let stand for about 15 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Place the mascarpone in a bowl. Add the eggs and sugar and beat with the whisk of a hand mixer until the mixture is light yellow and creamy. Sprinkle in the cinnamon. Finally, mix in the chopped almonds. Spread the mascarpone mixture evenly over the apples and place the dish in the center of the oven. Bake for about 20 minutes. The casserole also tastes good cold.
