Variation of the original tortilla

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin slices or cubes. Finely dice the onion. Place the potatoes and onions in a medium-sized pan and pour over enough oil to completely cover the potatoes. Cover the pan and cook until the potatoes are tender. Then drain the oil. Beat the eggs and season with salt, pepper, and chili powder. Pour the egg mixture over the potato and onion mixture and cook until the eggs are set. They can still be a little raw on top. Sprinkle the tortilla with cheese. Bake in the oven at 200°C until there is no raw egg left.
