Baked steaks

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes (approx. 400 g)
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 40 ml red wine
  • 4 turkey steaks
  • 1 tbsp clarified butter
  • 2 small goat’s cheeses
  • salt and pepper
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Rosemary, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Heat the oil and sauté the onions until translucent. Add the tomatoes and tomato paste. Season with chopped parsley, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, and paprika. Simmer for 8-10 minutes, then add the red wine. Meanwhile, season the turkey steaks with salt, pepper, and paprika. Fry in heated clarified butter for 3 minutes on each side. Pour the tomato sauce into a gratin dish, place the steaks on top. Cut two slices of cheese into each slice, place them on top of the steaks, and garnish with rosemary. Bake in a preheated oven at 250°C until lightly browned.
