Baked tomatoes with mozzarella

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 beef tomatoes (700 g)
  • 1 pack of mozzarella (250 g)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, black
  • 2 tsp basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Halve the beefsteak tomatoes and place them cut-side up in an oiled dish. Season with salt and pepper, sprinkle with chopped garlic, and drizzle with oil. Bake in a preheated oven (200°C) for about 15 minutes. Then top with basil and mozzarella slices. Drizzle with oil again and continue baking. Remove from the oven as soon as the cheese melts. Serve warm.
