Baked tuna and onion rolls

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 can tuna in oil
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 4 slices of cheese (Gouda)
  • 2 rolls for baking
  • salt and pepper
  • some margarine

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Drain the tuna and break it up with a fork in a bowl. Dice the onion and garlic and add to the tuna. Season with salt and pepper and stir well. Cut open 2 unbaked rolls and spread with margarine. Spread the tuna mixture evenly between the rolls. Place 4 large slices of cheese on top, doubling them if the slices are too large. Preheat the oven to 160°C. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper in the middle rack of the oven and bake for about 10 minutes. The tuna rolls are ready when the cheese has melted nicely. Let them sit on the baking sheet for another 15 minutes. They taste best lukewarm, but they are also delicious cold.
