Baking: Apple and Spice Slices 2.0

  • 750 g Apple wedges
  • 3 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 200 g Spelled flour type 630
  • 200 g Ground almonds
  • 200 g Raw cane sugar
  • 150 ml Rapeseed oil
  • 4 piece Organic eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Cocoa powder
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 Knife point Clove powder
  • 2 piece Chocolate Icing
  • 100 g Chopped almonds
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 20 g Butter
  1. Mix the apple wedges with lemon juice so that they don’t brown too quickly.
  2. Make a heavy batter from flour, almonds, sugar, eggs, oil, cocoa and the spices. Fold in the apple wedges and pour the whole thing into a greased and crumbled rectangular (35 x 24 cm) springform pan.
  3. Bake in a preheated oven at 175 degrees circulating air for about 40 – 45 minutes. (Toothpick sample). Let cool down completely after taking it out.
  4. Make brittle from almonds, sugar and butter in a pan, stirring constantly.
  5. Let the chocolate soak in the water bath and cover the cold cake with it. Sprinkle with the brittle immediately.
