- 130 g Dark chocolate
- 30 g Butter
- 120 g Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 40 g Flour
- 50 g Ground almonds

- 70 g Dark chocolate
- 1 tsp Butter
- 12 Whole peeled almonds
- Break the chocolate into pieces and melt together with the butter over a hot water bath.
- Beat the sugar and egg until frothy. Then stir in the liquid, lukewarm chocolate. Stir in the flour and almonds as well.
- Put the dough in a greased small (26x16cm) cake tin and bake in the oven preheated to 170 ° C for about 15-20 minutes.
- After cooling down briefly, fall out of the mold and let it cool down completely.
- In the meantime, let the chocolate and butter for the topping also melt over a water bath. Then spread it on the cake.
- Now place the almonds (3×4) in the still soft chocolate and press lightly. I also decorated it with candied kumquat slices.
- Once the chocolate has set, cut into 12 pieces.
