Banana milk gratin

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 12 pieces of rusk (wholemeal rusk)
  • 500 ml milk
  • 2 bananas
  • 250 g cream cheese
  • 100 g cherry(s) (morello cherries, from the jar)
  • 1 small can/mandarin orange(s)
  • 2 kiwis
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Fat for the mold
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Grease a deep casserole dish. Preheat the oven to 220°C (top/bottom heat). Line the dish with a layer of rusks. Separate the eggs. Puree the milk with the bananas, egg yolks, and quark. Drain the cherries and mandarins. Slice the kiwis. Spread some of the fruit on the rusks and drizzle with a little banana milk. Layer the rusks, fruit, and banana milk in the dish. Bake the gratin in the oven for about 30 minutes. In the meantime, beat the egg whites with the sugar until stiff peaks form. Pour the beaten egg whites onto the gratin and bake for another 10 minutes at the same heat.
