Banana-peanut porridge

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ½ jar oatmeal
  • 1 jar milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp peanut butter
  • 1 banana(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

delicious, quick porridge with banana flavor

Place the oats and milk in a small saucepan over medium heat. While the milk is warming, peel the banana and mash it with your fingers until only small pieces remain. I do this directly over the pan, so I don’t need a knife or cutting board. Then I take the peanut butter and add about a teaspoon of it to the milk. The milk should be slightly warmed by now, so the peanut butter can separate from the teaspoon when stirred in. I also add a pinch of salt, about half a teaspoon of cinnamon, and about a teaspoon of brown sugar. Now the whole thing needs to come to a boil so that the porridge gets its mushy consistency. Once that’s done, we’re done and the porridge is ready to eat.
