Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 300 g banana(s), pureed
- 225 g pineapple (can) including juice
- 2 tsp lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 800 g gelling sugar

Banana butter – American recipe
Combine all ingredients in a heavy saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil for about 1 minute, stirring constantly, then skim off any foam. Then pour into sterilized, hot jars and seal. Tastes delicious on plaited bread or brioche… kids especially love it. Tip: You can also cook a vanilla pod with the mixture, or—if it’s just for adults—add a splash of white rum.
