Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
sweet and savory – everyone who likes Hawaiian toast or Hawaiian schnitzel will love it
Cut the steaks into 3-4 pieces each, depending on their size. Brown the meat in a hot pan and season with salt and pepper. Meanwhile, place the croquettes in a preheated oven at 175°C to 200°C and bake for about 15-20 minutes (or prepare them in a deep fryer). Since you’re cutting the meat into smaller pieces, you won’t be able to fit all of them in the pan, so you’ll have to cook them several times. I place the cooked meat in the oven, which is already on, to keep it warm. Once all the meat is cooked, transfer it to a small baking dish and keep it warm in the oven. Now simply slice the peeled bananas and add them directly to the pan with the meat. Slice the bananas thicker or thinner, as you like. Fry the slices for about 1-2 minutes. Now gradually add the coffee cream – again, to your liking (the more cream, the more mashed the bananas will become). Finally, pour the banana puree over the meat in the casserole dish. Then remove the meat and croquettes from the oven, arrange them on plates, and serve immediately. The whole thing is made without sauce and tastes incredibly delicious – at least for those who like both sweet and savory.
