Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 pc. puff pastry
  • 6 eggs
  • 150 g natural yogurt
  • 500 g sheep’s cheese
  • 125 g butter
  • 800 g natural yogurt, for serving

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Puff pastry – feta cheese – lasagna

Whisk the eggs, add the yogurt and finely chopped feta cheese, and mix. Melt the butter in a pan. Separate the puff pastry. Grease a deep baking dish and layer the ingredients one by one. Brush the puff pastry with melted butter, then add the feta cheese and egg mixture, then more puff pastry, and so on. Finish with the puff pastry and butter. Bake at medium heat (180°C) until golden brown. Enjoy warm or cold and serve with yogurt. Banitza II: Same ingredients as above, but with 400g feta cheese, 3 eggs, and 400g leaf spinach. Banitza III: Sweet! Instead of feta cheese and eggs, the filling consists of 1kg grated apples, sugar, cinnamon, and roughly chopped walnuts.
