Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 5 clove(s) garlic, chopped
  • ½ red pepper(s), finely chopped
  • 70 g tomato paste
  • ½ dl red wine
  • ½ can tomatoes, chopped and peeled
  • 3 tbsp vinegar (red wine vinegar)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp sambal oelek
  • 150 g tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Heat olive oil, sauté onions, garlic, and bell peppers together. Add tomato paste and sauté briefly, then deglaze with red wine. Add chopped tomatoes, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, sambal oelek, ketchup, and sugar. Season with salt, cayenne pepper, and paprika, then simmer for about 1 hour. Serves with beef, veal, pork, lamb, and poultry.
