Barbecue sauce for pulled pork

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 700 g cola
  • 400 g tomatoes, chopped, from the can
  • 250 g onion(s), approx. 3
  • 12 g garlic, approx. 3 cloves
  • 50 g Tabasco
  • 15 g salt
  • 5 g ginger powder
  • 75g Worcestershire sauce
  • 75 g wine vinegar
  • 180 g tomato paste
  • 50 g honey
  • 70 g hot pepper paste
  • 50 g sunflower oil
  • 1 ¼ g canning aid, approx. 0.5 pack.

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

vegetarian, fruity, spicy, long-lasting, makes approx. 1.2 liters of sauce

Peel the onions and slice them into rings. Sauté them in a pan with oil until translucent. Peel the garlic, press it through a press, add it to the onions, and saute. Add the cola and all other ingredients and simmer for about 30 minutes, until everything reaches the right consistency, stirring frequently. Stir in the preserving agent and blend everything with a hand blender until smooth. Immediately fill prepared bottles or jars to the brim and seal. Also goes well with steaks, etc. Makes about 1.2 liters of sauce.
