Basic salad with walnuts

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 head of romaine lettuce
  • 1 head of radicchio
  • 1 m.-sized carrot(s)
  • 1 m.-large parsley root(s)
  • 1 apple, red
  • 1 avocado(s)
  • 2 shallots
  • 12 walnuts
  • 1 lime(s)
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp walnut oil
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • Coconut blossom sugar
  • Salt and pepper, black, from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

For the dressing, squeeze the lime and mix the juice with the vinegar, oil, mustard, sugar, salt, and pepper. Chop the lettuce. Peel and finely grate the carrot and parsley root. Chop the apple and avocado into small pieces. Finely slice the shallots. Chop the walnuts into small pieces. Divide the dressing among four large jars. Then layer the lettuce in this order: walnuts, shallots, avocado, apple, parsley root, carrot, lettuce leaves. The salad in the jar will keep in the refrigerator for three to four days.
