Basil Ice Cream with Balsamic Strawberries
The perfect basil ice cream with balsamic strawberries recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 Egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 0,5 Lemon fresh
- 10 Basil leaves
- 200 g Whipped cream
- 1 packet Cream stiffener
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 500 g Fresh strawberries
- 2 tablespoon Balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoon Honey liquid
- Basil leaves
Basil – ice cream …
- Mix egg yolks with sugar. Stir creamy over a hot water bath. Remove from the water bath and stir cold. Squeeze the lemon. Wash the basil leaves, shake dry and finely chop. Stir 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and basil into the egg cream.
- Whip the cream, vanilla sugar and cream stiff until stiff. Fold under the cream. Pour into a freezer and leave to freeze in the freezer overnight.

- Wash and clean the strawberries. Put 4 pieces aside as decoration. Cut the rest into small pieces. Heat the balsamic vinegar with honey. Reduce syrupy over a low flame. Let cool a little and mix with the strawberries.
- Let the ice thaw a little just before serving. Shape into balls with an ice cream scoop. Arrange on plates together with the balsamic strawberries. Garnish with strawberry and basil.
