Basil-Lemon Lemonade

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 10 ice cubes
  • 20 basil leaves
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 liter of water
  • 2 lemons, untreated

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

for the Thermomix

Add ice cubes, basil leaves, and sugar (to taste) to the mixing bowl. Blend for 4 seconds on the “Turbo” setting. Cover the mixing bowl with a tea towel—it’s a hit! Then add 1 liter of water and the washed and quartered lemons. Now press the turbo button 4 times very briefly (not too long, or the lemon peel will taste bitter). Then insert the simmering basket and strain the lemonade. Add a few more ice cubes, if desired. It’s very refreshing in the summer.
