Basil pasta

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ½ bunch basil
  • 500 g pasta
  • 1 can tuna in its own juice, approx. 200 g, drained
  • 50 g pine nuts
  • 1 pack of grated Parmesan cheese, approx. 150 g
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Toast the pine nuts in a pan. Briefly toast the basil leaves with the pasta. Cook the pasta in salted water as usual, then drain. Combine the basil, pine nuts, a little Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, olive oil, and a little pasta water in a tall bowl and puree. Toss the pasta with the sauce and serve on a plate with the tuna, if desired.
