Basil pasta with pine nuts

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 bunches of basil
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • 100 g cheese (Gouda), medium-aged, grated
  • Salt
  • 200 g tagliatelle pasta
  • 30 g pine nuts

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Wash the basil, dry it, and pluck the leaves from the stems. Peel the garlic cloves and puree them with the basil and oil. Add the cheese and salt, and mix into a paste. Season to taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Cook the pasta and mix it with the paste in a hot bowl. Toast the pine nuts in a dry pan and sprinkle over the pasta. Tomato salad is delicious with this dish.
