Spaghetti with walnut sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 150 g walnuts
  • 2 bunches of basil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 125 g Pecorino, grated
  • Salt and pepper, black, ground
  • olive oil
  • 500g spaghetti

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Finely chop the walnuts, basil, and garlic and mix with 50g grated pecorino. Carefully mix in enough oil to create a creamy mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Cook the spaghetti in salted water until tender. Stir 1/2 cup of the cooking liquid into the sauce. Drain the spaghetti and toss it with the sauce. Serve immediately, tossing the remaining pecorino over the top.
