Ingredients for 20 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 125 g butter
  • 125 g sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 lemon(s), grated peel
  • Egg yolk, for brushing
  • Almonds, finely chopped
  • Sugar (granulated sugar)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Quickly knead all ingredients into a shortcrust pastry, refrigerate, and roll out the dough to 1/2 cm thick. Cut out any desired shapes. Mix egg yolk with a little water, brush the cookies with it, mix the almonds with the sugar powder, and sprinkle on top. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Place in an oven preheated to 200°C (400°F) and bake until light golden brown. Baking time: 10-12 minutes.
