Bavarian-style snack skewers

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 baguette(s)
  • 300 g Leberkäse
  • 300 g Nuremberg bratwurst
  • 200 g cornichon(s) from the jar
  • 300 g Emmental cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • e.g. mustard

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

You will also need 8 wooden skewers. Cut the baguette into large cubes and toast in a pan with a little butter until golden brown, then remove and let cool. Cut the Leberkäse into large cubes and fry with the sausages in a little butter in the pan until golden brown. Drain the gherkins, let them drain well, and cut into large pieces. Cut the Emmental cheese into large cubes. Halve the sausages. Now alternate the bread cubes, Leberkäse, sausages, gherkins, and cheese on the skewers. Serve with mustard, if desired.
