Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 300 g beans, dried, white
  • 3 apples
  • 5 tbsp mayonnaise
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

from my childhood

Soak the beans overnight. The next day, drain, add fresh water to a boil, and cook for about 45-60 minutes until tender. Dice the apples and add them to the precooked beans. Season with salt and pepper, and toss with mayonnaise. Serve with dark bread. Tip: This salad can be served as an appetizer or as a side dish to grilled food.
