  • 2 tbsp oil
  • possibly cayenne pepper

Instructions

Green beans with potatoes and minced meat

Peel the potatoes, place them in a pot of cold, salted water, and boil with the lid tilted at an angle for about 15-20 minutes (use a fork to test). Meanwhile, peel the onion, cut it into medium-sized cubes, and add it to the minced meat along with the thyme. Add salt and pepper to taste and mix everything together loosely. Heat a pan and add the oil. Brown the seasoned minced meat in it until crisp, breaking it up with a spatula until it becomes coarsely crumbly. Drain the beans (save the bean water) and add it to the pan. Reduce the heat. Drain the cooked potatoes, roughly chop them with a fork, and stir them into the beans and minced meat along with the savory. For a mushy consistency, add a little more of the bean water and season again with salt and pepper (if you like spicy food, add cayenne pepper). Serve with fresh bread rolls.
