Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g chickpeas, cooked
  • 250 g kidney beans, cooked
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • Oil, neutral
  • salt and pepper
  • turmeric

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Meatless cakes

Mix the beans and chickpeas and puree. Add the breadcrumbs and spices, knead with your hands, and form into cakes. If the mixture is still too sticky, add more breadcrumbs. Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the cakes until golden brown. Tzatziki is delicious with bulgur salad and a green salad; alternatively, you can serve the cakes with just ketchup. In this case, double the amount per person.
