Beans in bacon sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 100 g bacon
  • 2 onions
  • 1 can green beans (450 g)
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • Vinegar
  • Sauce thickener
  • 4 servings of potatoes

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Boil the potatoes. Fry the bacon in a large pan over moderate heat. Add the onions (half rings) and sauté. Add the beans and their liquid, season with salt, and let simmer for about 15 minutes over medium heat. Season with sugar and vinegar and thicken with a sauce thickener (a roux works too, of course). Serve with boiled potatoes.
