Beans with Caramelized Roasted Onions

Ingredients
 

  • 500 g Green beans
  • Salt pepper
  • 4 Onions
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 6 Stems Chopped parsley

Instructions
 

  • Clean the beans, cut in half, wash and cook in boiling salted water for approx. 12 minutes.
  • Drain and drain.
  • In the meantime, peel the onions and cut into wedges.
  • Heat the oil and butter in a pan.
  • Fry the onions in it, turning, until golden brown.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cover with sugar and caramelize until golden brown.
  • Deglaze with 150 ml of water, bring to the boil and simmer for approx. 8 minutes.
  • Add the beans to the onions, stir well again and sprinkle with the chopped parsley.
  • Delicious side dish for pan-fried food.
