Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 2 onions
  • 250 g ground beef, low-fat
  • 2 tbsp butter or 4 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ liter of water
  • 250 g yogurt, preferably firm consistency
  • 50 g soup noodles
  • some parsley for garnish
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, mild or hot, as desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Peel and finely grate the onions. Season the ground meat with salt and pepper and mix with 1 onion, forming it into small meatballs. Heat the fat in a saucepan and sauté the second grated onion, or pour in the water directly and season with salt and pepper. When the water boils, add the meatballs. After 5 minutes, add the soup noodles. When both are cooked, stir in the yogurt and return the soup to the heat, but do not let it boil. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Serve sprinkled with chopped parsley. Tip: For a vegetarian version, use vegan mince.
